| Our full service policy includes: > Accommodation reservation (our offer includes anything from budget hostels to luxurious hotels). > Transportation including pick-up at the hotel (car rent, reservations of bus & train tickets including advice on schedules and most convenient routes and means of transportation). > Services of a certified, English-speaking tourist guide (please note some historic sites offer their own guide services). > Assistance with family tree research in relevant archives, including the Military Historical Archive in Prague, which holds the military records for each soldier including service records. > Tailor-made trips including all services mentioned above (should you want us to plan your trip, please give us the time period you want to spend in the Czech Republic and the sights you would like to visit). > You arrange the flight ticket to Prague, we take care of the rest. |
| The sights we can take you to include the following: > Fortress towns of Terezin and Josefov, including visits to local museums. > Tours of battlefields at Austerlitz (1805, Slavkov - see also photo gallery here) and Koeniggratz (1866, Hradec Kralove). > Extensive border fortifications built in 1930?s against the possible German invasion (over 17,000 fortress buildings were built), never used due to the Munich Pact. Heavy and light fortifications (e.g. fortress complexes Bouda, Hanicka or Dobrosov) are often open to public and re-built according to pre-war army standards including weapons and equipment (see also photo gallery here). > Military and police museums in Prague, Lesany, Kraliky, Rokycany and others - these museums cover mainly the military history of Czechoslovakia, including decades of Nazi and Soviet occupation plus the free Czechoslovak armies abroad during the two world wars. > Underground aircraft factory built by Nazis in the Rabstejn valley in north Bohemia during the Second World War. > Any of the impressive medieval castles in the Czech Republic, including such well-preserved medieval fortresses like Pernstejn or Svihov. > Large-scale military events such as Bahna or Orechov, with large numbers of re-enactment groups and military vehicle collectors present. > Plus any other sights of your choice - suggestions can be made from our side in case you would like to add any interesting sights as an addition to your desired itinerary. We can also assist in locating surplus army equipment or ex-Soviet military vehicles (see also gallery here). |
